Since 2015, CWA’s wonderful cartoonist Doug has delighted us with his sketches exploring the quirky and comedic sides of archaeology. Whether reflecting on the challenges faced by modern archaeologists, imagining the idiosyncrasies of daily life in the ancient world, or celebrating the magazine’s milestones in style, Doug’s talented pen and creative mind have brought many a smile to CWA’s readers and staff alike. Now, after ten brilliant years, Doug is putting down his pen, and his contributions will be sorely missed. We wish him all the very best. Below you can see a selection of some of our favourite cartoons from over the years.
