LIVES AND LITERACY IN ANCIENT EGYPT

An exhibition of papyrus manuscripts from the collection of the John Rylands Library in Manchester (UK), and related artefacts including stelae and objects related to writing. The texts on display include letters, legal petitions, magical spells, medical remedies, and religious writing.

An immersive exhibition exploring ancient Egyptian rituals, beliefs, and craftsmanship, including a virtual ride through the Egyptian underworld, light, sound and scent displays, hands-on interactives, and more than 120 original artefacts.

CLEOPATRA AND THE QUEENS OF EGYPT

An exhibition exploring the lives of 12 ancient Egyptian queens and the goddesses they worshipped, including replicas and more than 100 objects from Bolton Museum and other major British collections.

EGYPT TRANSFORMED

An exhibition of 60 pieces from the museum’s collection, on display for the first time following a comprehensive restoration programme, together with more than 30 objects on loan from the Musée du Louvre. Highlights include canopic jars, figures of Osiris, Isis, and Horus, ritual alabaster jars, and fragments of tomb scenes.

TUTANKHAMUN, HIS TOMB, AND HIS TREASURES

An touring replica exhibition concurrently in Hanover and Paris, with more than 1,000 accurate recreations of treasures from the Tomb of Tutankhamun, including a reconstruction of the tomb with treasures as they were found, and a VR experience.
