Search for the Lost Village of Sudeley
Sudeley Castle
21 October-2 November
Join DigVentures for their second year of searching for a lost medieval village in the grounds of Sudeley Castle. The settlement is named in the Domesday Book and was occupied for 400 years, but in the 15th century it vanished from the records, and its location became forgotten – until new evidence from LiDAR imagery suggested a likely site, which this year’s excavation will continue to explore.
