Join Stirling Field & Archaeological Society’s community excavation at Bannockburn House, a 17th-century building with medieval origins. This summer will explore the north-east corner of the grounds, where General Roy’s military survey of c.1750 shows a now-lost range of buildings and other features. Whether you are an experienced digger or have never picked up a trowel, you are welcome; full training and guidance is provided on site, with opportunities for excavation, recording, and finds-processing under experienced supervision. Early career archaeologists can also work towards and have competencies signed off on their BAJR Skill Passports during the dig.
