ACE TO FACE: THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE MUMMY PORTRAITS AT THE ALLARD PIERSON
An exhibition of 12 mummy portraits, two from the Allard Pierson collection and ten from partner museums in Europe, highlighting current knowledge of mummy portraiture, and the provisional results of a new international research study.

RAMESSES THE GREAT AND THE GOLD OF THE PHARAOHS
This international travelling exhibition explores the life, reign, and legacy of Ramesses II through more than 180 artefacts from his era. Exhibits include sarcophagi, mummies, jewels, royal masks, amulets, and statues, including a colossal limestone statue of the standing king.

SCULPTED PORTRAITS FROM ANCIENT EGYPT & THE EGYPTIAN BOOK OF THE DEAD
There are two exhibitions opening this autumn. Sculpted Portraits explores revival and renewal during Egypt’s Twenty-sixth Dynasty through a selection of artefacts on special loan from the British Museum (until 9 November 2026). The second exhibition features the Getty’s Book of the Dead manuscripts, which have never before been on public view (until 29 January 2024).
