CREATURES OF THE NILE
Creatures of the Nile explores the world of ancient Egyptian and Sudanese animals through more than 250 artefacts from the University of Liverpool’s Garstang Museum, National Museums Liverpool, and Manchester Museum. Highlights include the earliest known depictions of a domesticated dog, a bronze statue that contained a cat mummy, and a rare depiction of a mythical hippocampus.

RAMESSES AND THE GOLD OF THE PHARAOHS
This is both a touring exhibition that celebrates the life and achievements of Ramesses II through more than 180 artefacts, and a virtual-reality tour of the temples at Abu Simbel and the Tomb of Nefertari. Highlights include animal mummies, jewellery, royal masks, and the king’s cedar coffin.

THE STORIES WE KEEP: CONSERVING OBJECTS FROM ANCIENT EGYPT
Step behind the scenes and follow the conservation of more than 80 ancient Egyptian objects, including a 4,000-year-old Dahshur funerary boat. Staff can be seen at work in the ‘Visible Conservation Lab’, and visitors are invited to reassemble 3D scans of pot sherds.
