Focusing on the mummification of animals, Soulful Creatures gathers 30 mummies from the Brooklyn Museum collections, and 69 ancient Egyptian artefacts related to their ritual use. The displays offer dynamic presentations of the origins, techniques, and rituals of this practice, and of recent scientific tests that have uncovered key information about the methods used to create animal mummies.
